UNICEF is the United Nations fund helping children all over the world. The decision to found it was reached at the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 11, 1946.
The stamps are issued in sheets of 20 stamps. Croatian Post and Telecommunications sells the First Day Cover (FDC) ant the First Day Sheet. UNICEF is the United Nations fund helping children all over the world. The decision to found it was reached at the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 11, 1946. The Croatian UNICEF Bureau was opened in Zagreb as early as December 3, 1991. The first, very substantial and wide-in-scope actions consisted of helping with accomodation of children, exiled and refugees. The Croatian UNICEF Bureau is continuing organizing help, in agreement with the government of the Republic of Croatia. UNICEF stands for the solidarity of the rich and the poor, as it tries to develop the feeling that we are all a huge family and as it does its best to start developing the idea of peace among the children from all over the world.
